A Captivating Moment

I witnessed a beautiful little scene today. Returning home from my morning walk, I heard the sounds of laughter coming from a neighbor's driveway. A grandpa was playing hide and seek with his young grandson. The little boy covered his eyes and began to count whilst Grandpa hid behind the car. When the little boy reached 10, he ran and immediately found his grandpa, who took off running. The little guy squealed in delight and followed in hot pursuit. I stopped to watch this little scene. It was captivating. It made me smile.
I am convinced that God stops to watch us when we are bringing joy to His children. I am convinced that he is captivated by those little moments and wants to share them with us. And I am convinced that when He sees us serving His little ones in ministry, it makes Him smile. Imagine that.We can make the creator of the universe smile. How awesome is that?

  1. That must have been an awesome site to see! Sometimes it's the little things that matter the most. I'm grateful that I'm able to diaper my little one. Lately, times have been a little hard as far as life goes, but God is always present. I've recently been thinking about my personal relationship with Him. I don't feel as close to Him as I used to feel. =/ And I know that only I can change that.

I hope you're doing OK today Glenys. :)

    Blessings,

  2. Shar..thanks so much for sharing from your heart. We all have times when we don't feel as close to God as we once did, so don't feel bad for that. Just take one day at a time, pray, & try to surround yourself with others who will help you on the road back to Hm. You are right..He is always present & is ready to meet you right where you are.
    Blessings to you too :)

  5. It is very easy to play hide-and-seek with Braden and the other four grandchildren. I've learned late that I've never grown out of childhood!
